The mobility expert from the PA Assoc of the blind came to my house today. I touched a cane for the first time. We practiced walking w/ it, how to hold it, etc. She was very nice. She fitted me for my own white cane + put the order in. It鈥檚 solidified; I鈥檓 damaged goods.

No you are not!! The truth of who you are is not diminished one iota by this challenge. I know it鈥檚 a terrible shock to your system right now, but going through this is only going to make you more magnificent.

Tomorrow, the PA assoc of the blind is having a mobility expert come to my house to fit me for a white cane + practice how to use it-I鈥檝e been very transparent about how traumatic this has all been, yet since my talk w/ @marwilliamson last night, I don鈥檛 feel as scared. 馃挏
