So are they just going to make it a thing now to meet peaceful protestors with riot police, except when there’s an actual riot and it takes riot police several hours to get there?

Nothing new really for cops. In general, their history is full of meeting protest w/ violence. Over-stepping then legislating the legality of it, marching ever slowly to a police state (we're basically there fyi). And now there's this to worry about too: forbes.com/sites/alisondurke…

Of course. Peaceful protesters are on the left and must be crushed. White supremacist insurrectionists are right wing, and lots of cops are on their side.
