So are they just going to make it a thing now to meet peaceful protestors with riot police, except when there’s an actual riot and it takes riot police several hours to get there?

Where have you been!? Peaceful protestors (I know a few including a family member) were getting curb-stomped by police at Ferguson. Peacefully protesting college kids (including a family member) were met with rubber bullets in Minnesota.

that's pretty much what America's all about, so, yeah. the cops are going to crack down on peaceful protests and ignore/support rioters/seditious mobs who want to undermine democracy
