People who are forced to work at jobs they hate, desperate to keep that job even though it robs them of life-force more than it pays them in money, who nevertheless need it because it is the only way to survive, are in a very real way not free.

True. That has been true for the ages. Not everyone enjoys their jobs or has the right work life balance. This applies to lowly paid workers as well as wealthy individuals who burn the candle at both ends. It’s about who we are and what we need.

No wonder the birth rate is going down in the U.S. Couples can't afford to have children bc the cost of living has gone out of sight i.e, food, rent, healthcare, college, etc.
