People who are forced to work at jobs they hate, desperate to keep that job even though it robs them of life-force more than it pays them in money, who nevertheless need it because it is the only way to survive, are in a very real way not free.

Mw, employees look to use disability & workman's compensation for anything to get out of work. FMLA abuse is another taxpayer drain. Government tells companies to hire more people. Insurance skyrockets. Companies use programmable computers, AI, to replace the welfare abusers.

I think this is a message the Dems could really hammer home. Buttigieg also asked this question, are you really free when you can鈥檛 start a business because you have to worry about healthcare. The super rich are free in this way. The rest of us are restricted by economics.

I was going to move back to the US but refuse to do so until I have an Australian passport and therefore guaranteed healthcare for life. I would encourage any American who can do the same to explore the option. Many countries only require 4-5 years of residency before citizenship

This is reflected in David Graeber's "Bullshit Jobs" An advantage of universal basic income is that people will work, but will choose to do what they think is most useful to their fellows. Volunteerism shows us that.

Yes ... that's why we need to support your "Candidates" ... Nothing can change without changing the people who are in Washington DC running our country ... and those local officials running our states, cities and towns
