People who are forced to work at jobs they hate, desperate to keep that job even though it robs them of life-force more than it pays them in money, who nevertheless need it because it is the only way to survive, are in a very real way not free.

I felt burnt out in my job for many years but I wouldn't feel free depending on goverment assistance, I now have a better job and I'm studying to work in something I actually care about. Expecting everyone to be fulfilled by any job or to not require one seems merely utopical.

Good jobs that are fun and challenging are earned, not provided to everyone. The world doesn't owe anyone anything.
