Electoralism is largely useless at this point, yes
I notice when I post about a problem it gets attention. But when I post about candidates who would fix the problem, not so much. And that's a problem. Electoral politics isn't everything but it can't be left out of the equation if we really want to solve the problems of the world

Things got the way they are because of bad public policy and they can only be fixed by good public policy. That means different people in power. Saying it’s “useless” is just surrendering the levers of power to those who do real harm with it.

I think we need to use it to lift each other up. These are serious times and as bad as certain things are, there's a whole lot more to lose if we don't rise up and interrupt the pattern.
