I notice when I post about a problem it gets attention. But when I post about candidates who would fix the problem, not so much. And that's a problem. Electoral politics isn't everything but it can't be left out of the equation if we really want to solve the problems of the world

Local candidates deserve local audiences. Only locals can elect them. Focus.

The problem is a lot of us don’t trust the politicians or political parties that always seem to break their promises. Honestly, the only solution I see is to completely disband the party system, forcing all Americans to become independents building coalitions where we agree.

So tell me three things you know about Ted Cruz without going to Google.

Are they Democrats? Unless they're explicitly running as a Democrat with an agenda to destroy the party from within, hard pass.
Politicians will NEVER be responsive to voters’ interests over those of corporate donors until non-R and non-D candidates can ACTUALLY win. The only way that can happen is with National Ranked Choice Voting. See how at NRCV.org #TeamNRCV

I think griping about a problem can Feel more therapeutic than actually solving it.... We have to get past that.
I can't think of one person in elected office right now who gives me any hope that they will adequately address any of our problems. But I'm open to hearing about new candidates as long as they're not running as RepubliDems.

Marianne. The “establishment” in office now is no different than the “establishment” on the republican Side. You seem to bounce between towing the line and realizing real change is needed. You get frustrated too. Then you tow the line.

This fact is likely because candidates nor politicians are trusted. In fact, they have now beaten lawyers as the most mistrusted humans on the planet.

I am the Progressive Democrat running against Marco Rubio in 2022. Together, we will #RetireRubio!
