Maybe we should call corporate political donations and lobbying what they are - bribes. Bribery is illegal. Why is lobbying okay. I know, of course, because the bribe takers write the laws.

Just don't see any hope in sight of anything changing. I am in my mid 30s now and I have increasingly became more negative about everything. What you mentioned, we all know it is bad but it just keeps getting worse. Cornel West says America is a "failed social experiment"

No, that’s what they want you to feel! Don’t go there! It’s a psychological battle more than anything. We can make it better. Abolitionists got there, the suffragettes got there, the civil rights movement got there, and we’re gonna get there.
