America is in decline & has been for a long time. Trump led us from decline to death spiral. Biden stopping the direct vertical descent- but it will take every ounce of energy any of us can spend for the rest of our lives to counter the weight of our national karma & ascend again

If by “let it burn” you mean continue the descent into fascism (aka GOP control of all institutions), our kids will definitely NOT thank us for that. The complete loss of their agency as “citizens” would be nearly impossible to regain if r elections become merely ceremonial.
