I heard @maddow say 45 million people on food stamps will now get $230/mo more because of the Covid bill & “it’s a really big deal.” No, what’s a really big deal -really bad deal -is that in our country of 330 million people there are 45 million who need food stamps to begin with

They need to make utilities and other things free. Many do need food, but how much food can you eat? There are other necessities besides food.

Not to mention the Dems are importing homeless by the tens of thousands on the southern border. Once inflation hits due to all the money the US printed due to Covid impacts, more and more will not be able to afford the basics.
Maddow’s job is just to feed the machine. It’s actually sickening.
Marianne youd be a good Presidential Candidate .You'd still have to contend with mass shootings natural disasters foreigners wanting to be able to enter America to live their dream maybe reality is alot more realistic than dreams?
14% - that is a big deal, a very negative big deal.
No, *both* are “a really big deal”. Talk to anyone who has ever had to rely on food stamps, and they’ll tell you, the amount has never, EVER been enough. As a child, my family relied on food stamps for one year. It covered BARELY HALF of what we needed. Our community saved us.

Most food stamp recipients need them because they are not paid enough by their employers. There are very few exceptions to this rule that involve people who are otherwise capable of working a job. The neoliberals can usually at least see the problem. Just not the solutions.
