I heard @maddow say 45 million people on food stamps will now get $230/mo more because of the Covid bill & “it’s a really big deal.” No, what’s a really big deal -really bad deal -is that in our country of 330 million people there are 45 million who need food stamps to begin with

@marwilliamson Thank you Thank you for putting this in perspective! 👏🏾👏🏾Even the so-called “smart” media is so dumb it makes my head hurt. They don’t question societal injustices b/c even they accept them “norms” We need to think outside the freaking box...actually forget the box

She misses the point constantly.
If the government is willing to fork over (srry, pun) an extra $230 a month, doesn't that demonstrate that the current SNAP disbursement is woefully insufficient? Doesn't that prove people are hungry AND WE WON'T EVEN FEED THEM? THAT'S a "really big deal." Such a sad country.

Rachel Maddow makes $30,000 a day. Is she really that good? Or could it be for something else? pRoPaGaNdA 🤔

Yes it is so NOT a 'really big deal'. We need to keep calling this out on the feel good segments of Maddow/others. Corp run cable news will only window dress and comfort food us. Focus on 'outlets' for change we know is needed today and eradicate the need in the 1st place.

Which clarifies the need for universal basic income and makes you ponder why that has not already been done which has been postulated for decades as a coming necessity given the advancement of technology and machines that do the work for humans. This predicament was predictable

The things the stimulus are supposed to address highlight a complete subjugation of the working class.
