I heard @maddow say 45 million people on food stamps will now get $230/mo more because of the Covid bill & “it’s a really big deal.” No, what’s a really big deal -really bad deal -is that in our country of 330 million people there are 45 million who need food stamps to begin with

At the rate Biden is importing impoverished Mexicans, expect the number to grow larger than 45 million in the future.
I know I should stop trying, but I can't for the life of me understand your politics.
Maddow is very rich and she’s the head cheerleader at MSNBC for the DNC. She helped stop Bernie to make the world safe for their pharma sponsors. M4A would have been a big deal.
Thank you, Marianne.💛 Someone with clout, like yourself, needs to bring this point into our mainstream discussions. The reason for so many on food stamps is the same reason the globe faces climate crisis; that there is income inequities; ?Americans don’t have Med4All....
Well yes. But food stamps is a good program and should be expanded nonetheless, and not just as part of a covid relief/stimulus bill. It's a targeted program that provides needed calories to people in need. I do agree with your broader point about systemic inequality though.
Most people in Maine use Food Stamps. Surely people who work at Wmart.
Let's go one further. The fact that they raised food stamps 230 bucks and that it's such a big deal. 230 dollars extra for a whole month. What a fkn joke. Has anyone seen the price of groceries lately?
