I heard @maddow say 45 million people on food stamps will now get $230/mo more because of the Covid bill & “it’s a really big deal.” No, what’s a really big deal -really bad deal -is that in our country of 330 million people there are 45 million who need food stamps to begin with

This is true, sadly. Nonetheless, I totally get her point.
Instead of raising the minimum wage, we continue to enable employers who won't pay a living wage by helping their workers survive. I'm all for helping people, but not helping the rich get richer.
