If the Democrats don’t get rid of the filibuster they won’t be able to accomplish things they promised, which will lead them to lose power to the Republicans. Once Republicans have the power, they will do to the Democrats all the things they’re now warning Dems not to do to them

which is why they aren't planning to get rid of it. If they do, they will have to actually do something. As it is, they get to blame the other side while collecting plenty of funds from the corporations they are supposed to regulate.

They want to get rid of the filibuster, not to pass legislation, but to consolidate power and strengthen the uniparty. It's a smokescreen to think they want to get rid of it to help the poors. Yea right.
