2/ Keep your eye on @jontester, who is re-introducing bills to create a constitutional amendment that would overturn the Citizens United decision and declare that corporations are not people. Until then, corporations and billionaires will influence our government more than we do.

Why don't you ever talk about the epidemic of CHILD SEX TRAFFICKING Marianne??

I completely agree. Corporate & dark money influence affects so many other issues. That’s why I volunteer with Wolf-PAC. I hope Congress takes initiative, but we really need to be using all the tools available to us, including calling for an amendment convention.

We all have currency within us -- our imagination, ingenuity, ability to love, care and inspire. We must learn to value snd use our own inner wealth.

I wish we weren't going to struggle so much with getting HR-1 passed as-is. It's probably going to be stripped down to only voting rights, and the corruption elements won't be passed.

maybe we need more money in politics by putting more money in the hands of the people means that more people can contribute this might be the only argument that will get them to pass universal basic income once they realize more money to the people means more donations #gamestop

Of whose generation? You are a Boomer. Your generation put the money in politics. Boomers, regardless of quality of character, were actually here when all this started happening. My generation and the ones after were born in to this.I like you, but maybe dont talk in generations.

This is silly kindergarten progressivism. You can’t “get money out of politics” with reformist liberal policies.

Money in politics is a function of capitalism. Capitalism is the broader issue. Everything is commodified under this system.
