We spend over $900 Billion a year to make sure we can wage war, but our State Department gets $40 Billion a year to even try to wage peace.

You’re of course right at the Pentagon is an engine for fraud & waste on an incomprehensible scale, but we can’t pretend that the State Department is committed to peace. Diplomacy is at the root of its mission, but has not been its first priority.

I myself was denied security clearance 20 years ago, after passing the written & oral Foreign Service exams with sufficiently high scores that the State Department offered me my choice among assignments, because I admitted to having used marijuana in college. /7

I don’t think the purpose of the State Dept. is any different from the purpose of the MIC- to advance the cause of US billionaires.

BECAUSE when diplomacy fails the last resort is the military. PLUS aggressive countries skip the diplomatic stage. Think Russia, Germany, Japan and now China.

That’s why war keeps winning. The military industrial complex is real and ongoing. Sad but true.

Love Marianne Williams! The only candidate we had that speak about morality lost!

You don't seem to understand how evil our country is. The closest thing to "Peace" the US has taken anywhere, for many decades now, has really just been the conditions for stability in select locations and regions where it benefits the bottom line of our oligarchs.

Yet you quickly backed Biden who almost immediately bombed Syria? Make it make sense
