This happens above my backyard in the afternoons. It’s pretty amazing to see 🙂

You get to actually see this every day? Does anybody have any idea why they do it in that place every day? Is it at the same time? Is it different patterns?

I notice it happening when I start hearing the flutter of birds. That’s when I go outside and check it out. It’s typically the afternoon time when this is happening. I live in Whittier California. I always ask why does this happen? I’ll try to record it next time I see it. 😁

They're called starling murmurations. "We think that starlings do it for many reasons. Grouping together offers safety in numbers – predators such as peregrine falcons find it hard to target one bird in the middle of a hypnotising flock of thousands." rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildli….
