The "gig economy" is a myth. Exploitation Economy is a more accurate term.
In Germany we maybe have a similar attitude towards money as individuals, but as a society we are much more social and caring. I'm quite happy with the German system after having followed American politics very closely for a couple of months.

Absolutely. It's the short term thinking that will bring it all down. It's just chipping away at the potential future.

I think America already fail 4 years ago. To me 1/6/2021 proved it. Now, we need to get up and accept nothing less than Human Rights.
The sad thing is without financial engineering and insane market valuations, the average U.S. company isn’t profitable. Similar to trickle down, companies push harsh environments and pull all cash up to fund their top heavy comp structures

It is not as much as before but at the expense.
Democracy might be replaced by feudalism. Even now, Nevada is willing to allow corporations to have their own laws on company owned property. 😯
