85% of brain development occurs before the age of five. We should massively front-end our national resources in the direction of early childhood.

We should actually increase it until the age of 25 if we’re concerned with brain development. There really wouldn’t be a reason to decrease resources if we are really interested in educationally based well rounded brain development.

Word, and support the father as well as the mother. Wished I could commit suicide at 6 knife to my neck on my parents bed. Felt extremely uncomfortable in grade school and help was fake non-existent.

AND provide at least a year - shared between parents however they want to split it - for parental leave. It’s so critical that parents spend time bonding with their kid in the first 12 months. They should be able to do that without stress about losing their employment.

Dr. Fraser Mustard (The Early Years Study) already said that, but only a few foreign countries paid attention. The West threw a few $$ at it, like they always do, but no real strides were taken to address the obvious. But thanks for pretending you discovered something new!
