When govt functions more as advocate for short term corporate profits than advocate for humanitarian values, how is the well-being of children to compete for attention?

The government is not a human being. It's entire purpose is to manage. Want kids to be better off? Encourage the family unit to thrive. This is done by individuals, not power-hungry politicians.
