“As the family goes, so goes the nation, and so goes the whole world in which we live.” St. John Paul II.

Family implies, people have each other’s backs. In governance this translates to using tax dollars to provide citizens with basic needs- clean environment, health care, infrastructure. Businesses are for sales, not governing.

Independantly? Sounds good.

So one or two benevolent autocrats who decide all spending & allocation with a rigid hierarchy & forced labor? Sounds awful. This approach doesn’t work & is naive when you realize the state has the ultimate monopoly on force.

No. Govt is neither moral, ethical or 'of heart'. It's SOLE purpose is to protect EVERYONE'S indiv. Rights & do those things the People can/should not do (SEE: A1S8) You want a 'loving & func. family'...look to you/yours. "Charity" via govt == theft & (economic) servitude

Id that is the case, a country should consist of no more than 50 people and even that is pushing it.

Probably why you weren't elected.

This is one of the fundamental flaws of leftist thinking-- the notion that a nation (or the human race) can live like one happy family. And let's not forget, some Democrat policies are actually corrosive to the traditional family

So, one representative for every three or four citizens, who lives with their constituents and feels the same consequences of every decision they make for them?

Running a country like an extended family works better when the country is genetically closer to being like an extended family. IOW, if you aren't advocating immigration changes along with welfare you aren't being serious about this.
