Music and sports should be the highest priority in education. They are the subjects that teach that collective cooperation are the only means toward success. Academics are important but teach solo achievement. We need to work together. Look at our selfishness in society.

Sadly, history has shown, #Art to be an area of first cuts. Conservatives continue to chip away at #NEA. #Art should never be a #privelege. Until it is seen as an essential bldg tool to learning & healing- it will only further the cause of the dumbing down of #America.

The neurological impact of music study has long been obvious -- and not just to scientists. Upper income/high net worth parents routinely give their children classical music instruction from an early age. It looks good on the Harvard applications and it does make kids smarter. 😎

Why not fund students instead of systems and parents can put the money into schools (government or private) that serve their children best.

My parents made sure me and my 7 siblings learned musical instruments. I played the violin for 12 years. We all grew up to be self-supporting adults. And we have fascinating conversations at family events.

Top 10% own 85% of stock market. A market in which the Fed pumps 120b a week to keep rising. Whilst the rest or 90% own 15% percent. Every week the gap increases. The top gain so much daily while the rest are fed crumbs and told they are lucky. $15 min wage and the rich go nuts
