They brag about cutting childhood poverty in half as though that’s the best they can do. No it is not the best they can do.

The provision in the bill that expands the child tax credit expires next year also. So unless congress decides to renew, it is only a bandaid for now. Better than nothing but it's being played like it's a forever thing when it's not.

That’s not what they said at all. It’s that it can begin the process by cutting in half and that there is still work to do.

Isn’t the tax cut only good for a year? So it will cut child poverty for a year and then the hope is most everyone will have moved on and forget about the *temp* rescue plan
