They brag about cutting childhood poverty in half as though that’s the best they can do. No it is not the best they can do.

Marianne, they didn't even cut it in half. A temporary bump is not a solution.

When you become President, you can kiss it and make it all better and we'll all live with rainbows and streets paved with gold. Pffttt. 🙄

The new child tax is a welcome relief - but it is TEMPORARY and thus it is disingenuous to characterize it as cutting poverty by any fraction.

It's the best they're willing to do, temporary aid.

I don’t think the bill even cuts child poverty in half, but even if it completely did....why stop there? Child poverty shouldn’t exist in the richest country in the world.

And they admit they could end poverty but won't. And this has expire points all in it. And if you throw somebody a dollar plus over the "poverty limit", no more poverty. I don't really celebrate this bill.
