They brag about cutting childhood poverty in half as though that’s the best they can do. No it is not the best they can do.

Marianne, I really really hope you manage to see this. The study that claimed childhood poverty is cut in half was including the minimum wage raising being included in the bill and the 400 not 300 that was in supplemental unemployment. 1/2

Their brag is a lie anyway.

These snooty tweets read so poorly. The Biden Administration has done a great deal of good in just two months.

What's best? Taxing the Billionaire and Millionaire class the same rates as Eisenhower, JFK, LBJ, Carter and FDR! Tax their capital gains, wealth, luxury and sanction them for tax evasion via stashing away their money in tax havens. That's what needs to happen!

This stimulus bill cutting poverty in half is as much of a lie as Iraq had WMD.

It definitely isn’t. Everyone talked about how they were big bold progressives, but now that the Dems control the government they won’t deliver. It’s sad to watch, they need to do much better. Especially in regards to homelessness & poverty in a pandemic

We should eliminate childhood poverty (and poverty in general), but isn’t cutting it in half good? By saying that we’re able to do that, we’re showing that it’s a good step and that we have that power — not that it’s the max we can do

Glad you're not fooled but you should also know this is just a one time patch-up. How long can you keep putting money in people's hands to lift them out of poverty? Our schools fail 4 out of 5 students. That dooms many people's chance in this age of technology. Fix the schools!
