Alternative reading: don't complain in this life. Don't kick up a fuss. Don't try to improve your lot or challenge your masters. Stay compliant and you *may* be rewarded.

I have huge respect for you, but I'd politely suggest that - given you're a highly successful person - there may be an element of Survivorship Bias in your thinking. For millions less fortunate in the US, billions globally, religion is often used to defend the unjust status quo.

I don’t disagree with you at all! That’s why I said that some have indeed misused religious principle that way - just pointed out that others have not.
