We’re putting the fight against Covid on a “war footing” because it threatens rich people as well as poor. We’re *not* putting the fight against poverty, inadequate healthcare, lack of education, or environmental or criminal injustice on a “war footing” because it doesn’t.

It'd help if the teacher's unions and Biden follow the science, Dr Fauci and the CDC Director and re-opened public schools already. Thankfully grocery store workers and their unuins stepped up, used some plexiglass and worked all thru the pandemic for us. Truly essential.

To me, this comment is angry, divisive and mean spirited. Together we can help all of these issues through inclusion and love and prayers. But, this attitude is very hurtful.

We’ll never solve anything by standing on a “warfooting.” A stance of war will only serve to keep the status quo cycle running ‘roynd and ‘round asvit has for the past oh let’s say 10-15,000 years. We can sit in conscious awareness & watch as our “problems” dissolve altogether.

Actually to fight and win the war on poverty, healthcare, education, climate is seen by the elite as a much greater threat to their lives than COVID-19 will ever be.
