There is something deeply cynical about this tweet; given the pandemic, these people should be receiving that $1400 every month. I don’t find the video inspiring; I find it heartbreaking.
The American Rescue Plan’s $1,400 checks will start going out as early as this weekend. Here’s how folks plan to use theirs:

Yes, politicians, US, UK et al, blithely follow their an â1âagender come what may, without EVER responding to obvious visible needs of people. It's as visible as the nose on one's face, and yet they proceed and pretend it cannot be fixed just to adhere to an arbitrary ideology.

You're right. I'd like to really believe completely in Biden's and the Democrats empathy, but then this video, and now this outcome of the "rescue" bill. They are kicking us while we're down, Marianne. wgntv.com/news/third-stimulu…

How about we stop giving handouts over this pandemic so you all stop using it as a power grab forcing people to become reliant on the gov., and start opening states back up so people can get their jobs and lives back?

I don't find it cynical. The stimulus is better then trickle down economics which never worked.

You are a shame Marianne, I used to love your books, and you defended Biden along the campaign, you are part of the Deep shit state

It's deeply sad that in the "richest country in America", we don't do $1400 every month just because we are human beings who DESERVE a good life. Maybe Yang should change the name to the Humanity Dividend? Here's your basics covered, because you are a human being.

This is slick messaging from the top elected lobbyist for the private health insurance industry, WallStreet, fossil fuel industry, big banks, private equity, private education, private hospitals, & MIC. That’s why it doesn’t sit well. It’s an attempt at manufacturing consent.
