There is something deeply cynical about this tweet; given the pandemic, these people should be receiving that $1400 every month. I don’t find the video inspiring; I find it heartbreaking.

The checks were both the right thing to do and not nearly enough. But the problem is that they needed to be monthly months ago, and now is really too late for a lot of people, the damage is literally done
