There is something deeply cynical about this tweet; given the pandemic, these people should be receiving that $1400 every month. I don’t find the video inspiring; I find it heartbreaking.

Thank you for speaking out Marianne. <3 This would be life saving for so many people. This would help people afford to feed their children so they don't go to bed hungry that night, or maybe just pay for insulin just to be able to live.

When I discuss UBI a lot of people do not know what it is or think it is welfare. There is still this mentality in a lot of places that any help is bad or somehow deems that person as a poor provider. I don't get that mentality but I see it a lot!
