There is something deeply cynical about this tweet; given the pandemic, these people should be receiving that $1400 every month. I don’t find the video inspiring; I find it heartbreaking.
The American Rescue Plan’s $1,400 checks will start going out as early as this weekend. Here’s how folks plan to use theirs:

$1400 should be $2000 a month. Retroactive for a year (since we’ve been in the pandemic since) @Christo13001294

$1400 for a 40-hour worker is equivalent to a month of work at $8.75. Add that to the federal minimum wage of $7.25 and you get $16/hr. Maybe we should just raise the minimum wage while we’re at it.

I agree. They kept saying this would get people out of poverty. Damn! Not even close! These checks are merely throwing crumbs to the poor.

Tone deaf is the descriptive I would use. Like those supposedly heartwarming stories in the news about a nurse adopting a baby because his parents couldn't afford the medical bills to care for him, or poor people donating money to cover other poor peoples medical bills.
