Some people are advocating for a 28th Amendment to Break Up the Oligarchies. It could work but would be insanely difficult to achieve in this current political environment.

Getting money out of politics is the only way to do that. A constitutional amendment providing public funding for all federal campaigns would do it

Actually, the word is Plutocracy. Oligarchy is for when you don't know what special interest group is in control. Plutocracy is when you know it's the super wealthy.
