When I was a public school teacher, I struggled to make ends meet. My coworkers drove Ubers at night and sold their blood plasma for extra money. Today I filed a bill mandating a minimum salary of $70,000 for every teacher in Texas. #txlege

The kids won’t get smarter, their parents are going to have to pay more and work longer hours to afford life. You hurt taxpayers to sound good to the teacher’s union. Did the union lobby to get you elected? Swamp creature.

It is beyond maddening to me that #teachers are required to have a masters degree. Investment $75,000 for masters degree $160,000 undergrad. Have to PAY 2 decorate their class with their own Money & do not make a comfortable living wage #studentloanforgiveness #LetsTalk #Reform
