This person is giving me whiplash.
.@POTUS gave a wonderful speech tonight. So deeply humane and competent. Thank you, Mr. President.

I don’t understand why. I think he’s been good on the Covid issue, particularly compared to the president before him. Hundreds of thousands of people died who would not have died had we had a competent president handling Covid. I have no problem giving credit where credit is due.

Because he just further reduced who receives a check. He signed legislation that, unlike the previous payments, does not set the money aside for food, but allows it to be seized by creditors. He didn’t fight for the min wage increase, despite the fact that it’s been 12 years..

And he had openly and clearly committed to $2K checks when Dems were campaigning in GA then reneged and lied, saying the checks were alway intended to be interpreted as $1,400.

I disagree bc COVID fallout includes millions of people, and a whole lot of small businesses, have been financially slammed by the pandemic, and this relief package is wholly inadequate.

What kind of response is this? 😄"I think he's been good on the Covid issue" the bar is so low and that's actually not the reality of life in America with Covid under Biden now. but you're willfully obtuse on this, capitalism, imperialism, etc.

You have no way of knowing that claim.

Giving underserved platitudes to Biden on dishonest grounds concerning schools and Covid may be your ticket to irreversible condemnation. Your take here is massively bad. I have two school age children, and i see Biden as a monster willing to risk their lives over politics

Biden lied about the $2000. He reneged on the amount of UI benefits. He helped tank the $15 minimum wage. No relief from (maybe reduced) college debt. Because he didn't do what he could NOW (much by executive action) his inaction will kill and harm hundreds of thousands more.

Here's what people understand that you don't: "Biden’s pandemic relief bill does not establish a single significant new social program” Marianne, you've said we're in extraordinary times - and Biden and the Democrats aren't meeting the challenge. wsws.org/en/articles/2021/03…
