Exactly!!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but did Democrats negotiate down the stimulus relief only to get zero Republican votes anyway?

"Democrats" suggests the whole party agreed to changes to the relief bill. Given that we only have a 51/50 majority in the Senate, I think we should all get used to some level of compromise and not assume that all Democrats are on board with every change. $1.8T is damn good bill!

I read the article and believe in a lot of what you're fighting for, but I also think we need to acknowledge the good people we elect who are trying to make things better. Otherwise, we will demoralize those who we need to repair the damage done to our government.

I do acknowledge them. There are a lot of really good people in politics. A lot of my posts are things like “Excellent!” and “Bravo!” But why do democrats think we’re supposed to be so soft on Biden? We did that with Obama and it was a huge mistake.

I agree with that about Obama first term when we had an even larger legislative majority that was clearly too timid in the face of the financial crisis and contributed to suffering of millions of our citizens. The narrowest of Dem margins now is trying to not repeat that mistake.
