Correct me if I’m wrong, but did Democrats negotiate down the stimulus relief only to get zero Republican votes anyway?

"Democrats" suggests the whole party agreed to changes to the relief bill. Given that we only have a 51/50 majority in the Senate, I think we should all get used to some level of compromise and not assume that all Democrats are on board with every change. $1.8T is damn good bill!

I read the article and believe in a lot of what you're fighting for, but I also think we need to acknowledge the good people we elect who are trying to make things better. Otherwise, we will demoralize those who we need to repair the damage done to our government.

I do acknowledge them. There are a lot of really good people in politics. A lot of my posts are things like “Excellent!” and “Bravo!” But why do democrats think we’re supposed to be so soft on Biden? We did that with Obama and it was a huge mistake.

It’s a contrived morsel tossed down on the peasants. Optics and tactics, antics and theatrics. Your piece is on point - but the Hegemony of The Oligarchy began with the war economy that never truly dismantled. Not 1980. It exists to persist, and it hides in plain sight.
