We should lower voting age to 17. People with small chance of even being here in 30 yrs shouldn't dominate decisions that affect those who will then be in their prime. Kids in high school are more at risk, have more at stake, and should have more power in determining the future.

I think it would be interesting to ask 5-10 year olds what their thoughts are on important issues then discuss what society would look like if we picked the options the children came up with.

Maybe it should mimic the age of consent, if you can consent to sex at 16 in a 1/3 of the US states you should be able to vote. 17 in the other 1/3, 18 on the other 1/3.

Along with this I鈥檇 love to see term limits. Like the president no elected officials should be able to serve more than 2 terms. No more lifetime appointments to SCOTUS either. I think even 10 years is too long a maximum of 5 years on judicial appointments.
