We should lower voting age to 17. People with small chance of even being here in 30 yrs shouldn't dominate decisions that affect those who will then be in their prime. Kids in high school are more at risk, have more at stake, and should have more power in determining the future.

Sure, you can promise them ice cream and get their votes. Or a better platform: Halloween twice a year! That’ll lock up the votes!

Democrats want kids to be able to vote because they’re easier to manipulate due to the fact that they’re inexperienced and uninformed.

Agree. If you’re over the age of 80 you shouldn’t vote, same if you have a terminal illness or serve in the armed forces and are likely to die. But if you have a completely underdeveloped cerebral cortex, no problem. Moronic.

It’s a good thing for Democrats that fetuses can’t vote.

I respect you, but no. Definitely no. Even 17 year old me would've agreed

Wowwww, this is like straight out of a dystopian nightmare. All are equal, but some are more equal than others

I don’t understand the logic behind lowering the voting age. 18 seems low too, although I understand with the responsibilities the age bears. Your prefrontal cortex (decision making part) isn’t done developing until around 25. Seems the responsibility/power ratio is way off at 17

Why not 13 year olds?
