We should lower voting age to 17. People with small chance of even being here in 30 yrs shouldn't dominate decisions that affect those who will then be in their prime. Kids in high school are more at risk, have more at stake, and should have more power in determining the future.

Oh and BTW there would need to be an amendment to the Constitution to accomplish this, and you're never going to get enough states behind it. Remember, when you give Progressive kids the right to vote you give Midstate gun-loving Trump acolytes the right to vote as well.

The part of the brain thst governs the understanding of consequences isn't even fully developed until our mid-twenties. If anything, the voting age should be raised. In exchange let's cancel income taxes for 16-25 year olds.

It truly all is single handedly the work of properly educating our future generation on how to live a positive, enjoyable life. But.... Humanity has a LOT of major obstacles in order for us not to meet our ‘doom’. But hey, look on bright side.... nothing lasts forever!

I would say 16 years of age. At the age they're allowed to work and are already treated as adults according to our judicial system.

I could not agree more!!! I also find it ridiculous that an 18 year old can be sent out to the battlefield to kill and possibly die, but is not allowed to buy or consume alcohol until 21.

Where I grew up, we got National Registration Cards at 16. You can register to vote with yr NRC at that age. Still to this day there is a huge gap in the number of people that don’t vote in that part of the world & age has nothing to do with it🤔

As long as this country is willing to take 17 year olds into the military, 17 year olds should be allowed to do anything any other adult is. Not to mention the draft. The 2012 election happened just prior to my turning 18 and 4 months later I was required to...

Truthfully, the kids in my life, who are 10-16 , are more intelligent, ethical and thoughtful about things than most of the adults in the US. I would prefer those kids voted than Billy Bob QAnonites. I would lower the voting age to 12-14. Starting in MS or HS.
