We should lower voting age to 17. People with small chance of even being here in 30 yrs shouldn't dominate decisions that affect those who will then be in their prime. Kids in high school are more at risk, have more at stake, and should have more power in determining the future.

I don't know. When I was 17 I might have listened to my old man and voted for a Republican.

The gop got something right. I'm a Democrat and I'm all about cancel culture. Cancel hunger Cancel poverty Cancel corruption Cancel student debt Cancel homelessness Cancel voter suppression Cancel a lack of medical coverage RT and follow so we can start canceling.

One year makes that big a difference? And elderly people’s votes are dominating? Are you suggesting a cutoff age?

Oh please...kids are dummies. They have no idea what life is really about yet.

So cap the voting age instead of lowering it. 17 year olds cannot think for themselves.

Don’t be a dumbass Marianne. You’ve been doing so well crossing over into conservative territory but this is a step backwards.

I teach college students. Even freshmen at 18 are not all that interested in politics, for the most part.
