Much to my dismay, I had to delete a picture of a starling. Someone told me it was mean and when I looked it up I saw this verified, so I couldn’t bear to put anything mean on my thread. I will be back momentarily with the sweetest most beautiful bird I can find.

Starlings? Where I live, large Blue Jays and Crows raid nests. Pigeons infest anything that resembles a shelter, but if one falls into the water at the harbor, it can't swim so the Gulls do horrible things to them and strip meat off their back. I have observed bird wars..

Excuse my ignorance, but what's wrong with a bird?

I have starlings that live all around my house and I’ve never had any problems with them being mean or aggressive in any way

I just looked it up. I had no idea starlings were disturbed little creatures. Great call.

Someone will have to explain to me why posting starling pics is considered "mean". More cancel-culture gone too far, I assume.

I have a soft spot for puffins,& in our yard we're blessed to have a sweet screech owl. Apparently, the Great auk was the sweetest bird of all which may be why our species drove them to extinction. But I have a theory about birds thanks to the gulls that adopted us ten years ago
