the mother IS trying to call the police, but the father is kicking the phone out of her hands over & over.

The Repubs are not who kept the $15/hr min wage from happening - they of course arenβt supporting anything in the bill at all! But itβs 2 Democratic senators who kept it out, plus something like 8 of them who voted against it as an amendment today (Biden did apparently not push)
