Poor people are easier for the government to control. That coupled with how profitable they are means there will never be a “war” on poverty. Just a battle to stay middle class.

I don’t know if Poverty could ever be totally eradicated But I do think Homelessness in America could be eradicated if We spent the money on it instead of Global War & Military Build up

The goal has never been to end poverty. Any rational observer would agree that, for a long time, the goal has been to use public policy as a means of structural violence to create and maintain a permanent underclass of disposable human beings.
