Manchin and Sinema say "No" and the whole party bows to them; progressives keep saying "Yes" so the party doesn't bow to them ever. Can anyone explain this to me?

Manchin and Sinema give the Establishment Dems the cover they are used to getting from the Republicans. They provide the neoliberals the excuses they rely on to not help the poor and disenfranchised

Manchin and Sinema have big and powerful corporate interests (and donors) backing their "No." We're likely not witnessing how the positions taken by Manchin and Sinema are being supported by corporate lobbyists calling senators and the White House behind the scenes.

Because corporate funded dem leadership doesn’t actually want these policies

The side that wins most negotiations is the side most willing to walk away from the table and tank the whole deal.

Because conservative Dems aren’t afraid to exercise their power to serve their donors. Progressives are too afraid to exercise their power to serve their voters.

Because these "progressives" do not actually believe what they say. They are centrists who simply choose to use different marketing. Some market themselves like Obama, some like Biden/Manchin. But they all believe and govern the same way.
