Of the eight Democrats who voted against the $15 an hour minimum wage amendment, I don’t think the woman with little money who dressed and acted foolishly is nearly as chilling a phenomenon as the multi- millionaires in business suits who did so smoothly, calmly & no drama at all

Counterpoint: it’s all horrible and Sinema gave us an incredibly useful visual to sum it all up.

But she would theoretically be the most likely of them to relate to the needs of the people who need the money the most.

Her flouncing performative cruelty was a mockery of feminism, from the hairflip & curtsy (!) to the schoolgirl skirt & cute boots. Her “feminism” shield now is infuriating. She’s had gvt jobs long enough that if she still has “little $” then a rehab PR is not far off.

I agree the millionaires aren’t any better, but something about her casual dismissiveness struck me... the way she already had her fancy bag slung over her shoulder as she crushed the hopes of millions of Americans on her way out the door.

Her performance is symbolic of how Democrats really feel about the working class. It will always be donors over us. They’ll mock and screw us over at every turn: cutting the stimulus, UI, “public option”, & real material changes.

It was just as chilling to me, in a different way. An emotionless "no" is already bad enough. This was mockery and attention seeking. It was pathetic.

she's only not a multi-millionaire because she hasn't been in office as long as the others. it's still the money talking, though.
Corporate PAC Money Taken in ‘20: Sinema = $1,053,454 Tester = $387,563 Coons = $2,014,687 Manchin = $333,488 Shaheen = $2,040,077 Hassan = $478,074 Carper = $404,657 These senators answer to the donor class, not us. Let’s change that. #FightFor15

This is true, the men that voted no are worse but it really stings to see that display and contempt for workers. I already make 15 in a mid level city and even that is not enough for an individual. I have no clue how people that get paid less than me can possibly survive.
