When people who have millions of $ of personal wealth deny a minimum wage hike to 100s of 1000s of people who would be lifted out of poverty by it, they shouldn’t be able to hide their heartless behavior behind the ridiculous claim that they’re being good stewards of the economy

Our senators here in NH were weak and voted no. I bet if @PaulHodes had been in the Senate he would've voted yes.

Take a look at our Military budget AND the practice of having to use it before next year's funding if you want the same or more than last year. If we had 1/10th of that budget we'd have a whole new world

I'm thinking we leapfrog minimum wage entirely. Even the terminology is antiquated. It make people feel so small and the psychological effects of that need to be shut down. Then you examine something like Universal Basic Income and if done right the terminology there gives hope

There is no decent reason to deny mother and children a living wage except for greed, fear, cruelty and cynicism.

They are not even trying to be good stewards of the economy. They’re just cost-shifting! They don’t want wealthy employers to incur the cost of a decent standard of living-they want us, the taxpayers, to pay for Medicaid, food stamps, & other subsidies for low-wage workers.

Is it really just super rich people who are preventing the minimum wage from being raised? Or is it disproportionate corporate influence over the entire political process?
