It’s sort of excruciating watching progressive Congresspeople tweet out their frustration with obviously the same sense of powerlessness that the rest of us feel.

If only they had the ability to leverage their votes to get a seat at the table!

Except they are elected officials and could easily coalesce and get the things they promised to fight for passed .... but they won’t because they’re the #fraudsquad

They've got to be more aggressive and exercise the power they have.

As members of Congress , they have power, but choose not to use it. We aren’t members of Congress. There’s the difference.

but they aren't powerless - they have power they just don't use it (like someone like Manchin does).

I don't let their insecurities on how to do their job interfere with the push for the American people. I guess if the elected officials can't get together, then it's time to vote them all out.. let them feel what's it's like to be kicked to the curb.. just saying!!

Don't feel bad for them. Feel bad for us. It's all performative. They're fine.

Except they aren’t powerless. They could threaten to tank a must pass bill just like Manchin can.
