It’s sort of excruciating watching progressive Congresspeople tweet out their frustration with obviously the same sense of powerlessness that the rest of us feel.

Indeed, mostly because the "powerlessness" is entirely performative. They have power but time and time again choose not to exercise it, often even aiding in undermining the very values they profess to stand for. It's gaslighting at this point.

Yup. If they refuse to wield power wtf are they doing there? The minimum wage nonsense is laughable- Harris can overrule the parliamentarian and force senate to vote- but biden is all "I respect the parliamentarian-" something that isn't even constitutional. Un fucking real.

Yet they refuse to utilize the power they have despite the fact they've had plenty of opportunities to do so.

What you mean to say is that they refuse to do their jobs. They have the power. They refuse to use it and we continue to suffer. #FraudSquad

They are knowingly trying to lose their majority in congress. Is a delicate balance: Pretend to 'fight' while doing nothing while still getting corp donations. After they lose next time they will go back to the "Reps bad, we are no so bad. Vote blue." mode.

Bewildered.

They are vastly outnumbered in Congress. Their weakness is our problem. We as a nation must say yes to better.

Maybe they just don't understand politics.
