You can’t be a democracy and an oligarchy at the same time. Either the country belongs to all of us or the country belongs only to a few of us. This is the deepest existential question about who we are and who we want to be.

Very well said @marwilliamson. How do you run as a democrat with that mentality? That sounds very federalist and small government which aligns more with my line of thought as a libertarian. You sound more "independent" with your thoughts these days.
